INTRODUCTION TO LETTERPRESS CLASS COMING OCTOBER 22.
PRIOR TO THE MEMBERSHIP MEETING on Saturday October 22, a hands-on beginner's class focused on the California job case and setting of hand type will be held at the Kulakowsky Center, 117 Parkside Ave, Lancaster from 10 a.m. to noon. This class is a direct response to frequent requests for instruction for those new to letterpress. The class will be free for both members and non-members. Those attending will set some type and print a pad. Subsequent classes will build on the skills learned in this class. There will be about an hour for lunch between the conclusion of this class and the start of the membership meeting at 1. A refrigerator will be available for those who want to bring lunch. Water and soda will be provided. More advanced classes will also be held at the Center in the future. To reserve a spot in the class, please send an email to Paul Gough at pkletpress@gmail.com by Thursday October 20.
